Getting started
What is forbuilders?
A construction management app for Indian builders, civil contractors and interior firms. It keeps money, labour, materials, purchasing, BOQ and daily progress in one shared record that the owner, office and site team see as it happens.
Do I need to download an app?
No app store download is needed. Open app.forbuilders.in on any phone, tablet or computer and install it to your home screen from the browser.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes: sign up, name your company, add a project and invite your team.
Who is it for?
Builders, civil contractors and interior firms in India, and everyone on their projects: owners, site in-charge, finance, project leads and clients.

Features
Does it handle GST?
Yes. forbuilders splits GST into CGST and SGST or IGST from the party’s state, and sales invoices download as tax invoices. It is a tool, not tax advice.
Can I track labour attendance and wages?
Yes. Present, half day, absent and paid leave with overtime, GPS punch-in, and wage totals for any period.
Does it do BOQ and RA bills?
Yes. Import your BOQ from Excel, record progress and generate running-account bills to the client.
Which reports are there?
Ten ready-made reports in Excel and PDF: project P&L, party ledger, cash book, expenses by category, attendance and wages, stock, GST summary, BOQ progress, purchase order register and work orders.
Can I export to Tally?
Not today. Reports export to Excel and PDF.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, for the everyday site entries: attendance, expenses, daily reports with photos, material used and received, BOQ progress and tasks. They sync when the signal returns.
Which languages does it support?
English today.

Team and security
How do I add my team?
Invite them by email with a role and projects. They confirm their email, set their own password and accept.
What can each role do?
Owners control everything; Project Leads run their projects; Site In-charge record site work without seeing wages; Finance handles money across projects; Observers have read-only access. See team and roles.
Can I sign in by SMS?
Not today. One-time codes are sent by email.
What happens on a new phone?
We email a one-time code to confirm it’s you. Codes expire in five minutes.

Data and privacy
Where is our data stored?
In India, on Microsoft Azure in Central India. You can download a full export at any time, and Owners can back up to their own Google Drive every day.
Do you sell data or show ads?
No. We do not sell personal data, show ads or use your data to train AI models.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Your data → Delete my account. Owners can close the company in Settings; data stays available for export for 30 days, then it is deleted.

How much does it cost?
forbuilders is free during early access. Paid plans will come later; before any fee is introduced, Owners get at least 30 days’ notice, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
